Election Observation
As a veteran of over twenty Election Observation Missions, I have served as a Long-Term and Short-Term Observer, in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo (three times) Kyrgyzstan, Moldova (three times), Russia, Tanzania, Ukraine (twice) and Uzbekistan. I have also been a trainer of polling officers in Kosovo (twice) as well as a polling officer in the UK.
I am mission-ready, having undertaken relevant training for EOMs and hazardous mission environments, including training with the British Army and Italian Carabinieri in hostage situations, land-mine extraction and first aid.
My postgraduate dissertation at the University of Edinburgh was on the Ugandan "non-party democracy" movement and at the University of Cambridge it was on the policy failures made by foreign governments and NGOs in seeking to promote democracy in Zimbabwe.
I am able to travel at short notice to be part of the core team or as an STO or LTO for EOMS around the world, as well as advising various organisations on the democratic process.
Intellitas can also assist in the recruitment of new STOs in support of other organisations' EOMs.
